MLT MEMBERS ATTEND PULIIMA 2015

Mobile Language Team members Clayton Cruse and Celeste Humphris attended the Puliima National Indigenous Language and Technology Forum from the 12-15th of October. Puliima is hosted by Miromaa Aboriginal Language and Technology Centreand was supported this year by the Mobile Language Team among others.

Over 230 people attended from all over Australia and the world, and excellent workshops were held by Resource Network for Linguistic Diversity, Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages, First Languages Australia and other community based language projects.

Clayton and Celeste attended lots of inspiring workshops and talks, mostly promoting grass roots and community driven approaches to language support and revitalisation.

Puliima is held every two years, keep your eye out for the next one in 2017!
